  • Do you Wax Men?

    • Absolutely! We're here to cater to everyone's grooming needs. While we don't currently offer sugaring or intimate waxing for men, our male waxing services are ready to keep our gents looking sharp and feeling confident.

  • How long should my hair be?

    • Before we work our magic, we need your hair to be at least a quarter to a half-inch long. That's about two weeks of growth after shaving. So sit back, relax, and let that glorious hair reach its perfect length before your appointment.

  • Will my Brazilian hurt?

    • We won't sugarcoat it (pun intended), waxing can have a pinch, but don't worry, it's totally bearable! Plus, the more you wax, the finer and softer your regrowth becomes. It's like a VIP treatment for your hair! To make your experience extra comfortable, we recommend avoiding caffeine and alcohol 24 hours before your appointment. Taking a mild anti-inflammatory medication, like Ibuprofen, an hour beforehand can also help. Trust us, most people find waxing to be a breeze!

  • Are there any age restrictions?

    • As much as we love everyone, we have to follow the rules. To be a client at reWAXation, you must be 18 years old or have parental approval/signature. Safety first, after all!

  • Can I get waxed during my period?

    • Periods don't scare us! You can absolutely get waxed while on your period, but we kindly ask you to wear a tampon or cup during the treatment. It's all about ensuring your comfort and convenience.

  • How long will I stay red?

    • Every person's skin is unique, so the redness and tenderness can vary. But fear not, our secret weapon is hard wax, which is perfect for sensitive areas. So while some might experience minimal redness and irritation, we'll do our best to keep your skin happy and glowing.

  • What about ingrown hairs?

    • We've got the scoop on keeping those pesky ingrown hairs at bay. Our golden rule: exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate! It's the secret to smooth, bump-free skin. And if you're prone to ingrowns, sugaring is an excellent alternative that might just become your new best friend.

  •  Can I get waxed if I'm pregnant?

    • Absolutely! Waxing during pregnancy is safe and perfectly normal. Our experienced Estheticians are skilled in providing waxing services for moms-to-be. However, if you have any specific concerns, we recommend consulting with your doctor beforehand, just to be on the safe side.

  •  Is waxing sanitary?

    • At reWAXation, we take hygiene very seriously. We strictly adhere to a "No Double Dipping Policy," which means we never reuse our wax sticks. This ensures that there's no risk of spreading harmful bacteria or diseases. Your well-being is our top priority!

  • How long will my appointment take?

    • We understand that time is precious, so we've mastered the art of efficient waxing. A Brazilian wax typically takes no longer than 30 minutes, thanks to our skilled Estheticians who are experts in speed waxing. Full leg, back, and chest treatments should also be completed within 30 minutes, allowing you to get back to your day feeling fabulous.

  • What should I do to prepare for my wax?

    • To ensure a smooth and successful waxing experience, we recommend a few simple steps. Exfoliating your skin beforehand is always helpful. Taking a mild anti-inflammatory medication, like ibuprofen, before your wax can help reduce any potential skin redness or swelling. Additionally, it's a good idea to avoid caffeine and alcohol 24 hours prior to your appointment, as they can increase blood flow and make the experience more nerve-wracking. Rest assured, our licensed Estheticians are highly experienced, friendly, and professional. They'll guide you through the process, making you feel comfortable and happy throughout.

  • What is sugaring?

    • If you're looking for a natural and gentle alternative to traditional waxing, sugaring might be your sweet spot! Sugaring is an ancient Middle Eastern hair removal process that uses a natural paste made of sugar, water, and lemon juice. It's the oldest, most natural form of hair removal out there! The sugar paste adheres to the hair, not the skin, making it gentler and less painful. It's suitable for all skin types and can even improve conditions like eczema and psoriasis. Plus, it's water-soluble, making cleanup a breeze!

  •  Why did I still feel stubble after my wax/sugar?

    • Oops, sorry about that stubble! Let me break it down for you. Despite our best efforts, a few sneaky hairs can sometimes dodge the waxing party and leave you with that stubbly feeling. Here are a couple of reasons why that might happen:

    1. Hair length: For waxing to be effective, your hair needs to be long enough to grip onto. If some hairs were too short during your waxing session, they might have escaped the wax's clutches. It's like playing hide-and-seek with tiny strands!

    2. Hair growth stages: Not all hairs are synchronized in their growth cycles. Some may be in the resting phase (telogen) or transitioning phase (catagen) during your wax, making them less susceptible to removal. Those party poopers!

    3. Stubborn hairs: We all have those stubborn hairs that refuse to leave the dance floor. They can be more resistant to waxing, especially if they have thick roots or are deeply rooted. We'll keep on trying to convince them to join the smooth skin party!

  • Can you explain the hair growth cycles?

    • Sure thing! Let's dive into the hair growth cycle and how it relates to that lingering stubble after waxing:

    • Hair growth is like a dance party in your follicles! There are three stages: anagen (hair growth), catagen (hair transition), and telogen (hair rest). But here's the catch: not all hairs are on the same beat. Some might be in the middle of a growth spurt, while others are taking a break or getting ready to groove.

    • During your first wax, we may not catch all the hairs because they're not synchronized. It's like trying to round up a wild bunch of dancers on the dance floor. But fear not! With consistent waxing, we'll get everyone in sync, and your hair removal results will be on point.

    • Genetics, hormones, and medications can also play a role in this hair party. Some hairs might be fashionably short or not actively growing during your first wax. But don't worry, we'll make sure they join the party next time.

Got more questions? No problemo! We've covered a lot in our FAQs, but if there's something else you're curious about or if you need further assistance, we're all ears! Our goal is to ensure your waxing experience is nothing short of amazing.
